Pacific Continental Bank, Responsive Website
Role: Lead Designer (discovery, research, strategy, presentations, site map, wireframes, concept and design, production and specs)
Pacific Continental Bank, a Pacific Northwest business bank, needed a new website for many reasons. The design and overall presentation was outdated, it was not mobile-friendly, and their most engaging content was buried within the site. They needed something more modern and dynamic for their increasingly younger client base and to attract and retain new customers.
After plenty of research and discussion with the client, my team and I presented a strategy for the new website. The strategy included recommendations for content, content structure, functionality and design. We would lead the client to shed their outdated brochure site for an engaging brand touchpoint that would produce results and serve as a major resource for their customers.

Between the bank's products and services, industry specialties, educational resources and even their major philanthropic efforts, the site has more than 50 pages and required a particularly thought out site map. We organized the content into three main buckets.
The resulting website is a better representation of the client's overall brand and encourages users to explore and learn. Small improvements to the design -- like having the online banking login available anywhere on the site, or having a designated space for time-sensitive announcements -- make this site much easier to use.
The site design utilizes tile templates to piece together the various pages and needs throughout the site. Below left is the template for educational resources where the user can flip through covers of Pacific Continental's publications, filter by topic or keyword, or browse below by the type of publication. Below middle and right are two basic pages with flexible content, imagery and multimedia sections.
